Dr Matar earned his medical degree at the American University of Beirut, in1984 and completed his residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN in 1991. He is Board Certified in Otolaryngology and a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.  He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
